About BMI
Body Mass Index (BMI) is a measure of body fat based on your weight in relation to your height. It applies to most adult men and women aged 20 and over.
While BMI is a useful screening tool, it is not a direct measure of body fatness and doesn’t account for muscle mass, bone density, overall body composition, and racial and sex differences.
For a more accurate assessment of health risks related to weight, consult a healthcare provider who can evaluate other factors like waist circumference, diet, physical activity, and family history.
